Olympian Fencing Club fencer Vivian Young won the Gold Medal in Cadet Women’s Epee at the March NAC which took place from March 7-10 in Cleveland, OH. This is Vivian’s first Cadet gold medal at the national level. She defeated fellow Texas fencer and friend, Maya Kozlowski of Woodlands International Fencing Center, in the final match by a single point. The fencers tied up at 7-7 when time expired. Vivian was awarded priority and scored the final touch in the one minute overtime period winning 8-7.

The Cadet Women’s Epee event featured 183 fencers from across the United States and Canada. Congratulations Vivian!
