Programs

Olympian was founded by three-time world champion and US Olympian, Velizar Iliev with the intention of making epee fencing center stage in San Antonio. Numerous colleges and universities offer scholarships for skilled fencers. In addition, most high school physical education (PE) guidelines allow high school students to satisfy their PE credits through outside physical sports like fencing.

Olympian encourages all students to participate in competitions nationwide, including the Summer Nationals as well as International World Cup tournaments. Numerous local and regional tournaments are available as well, allowing all levels of fencers to compete and gain valuable experience.

All class levels include any age range and gender. Class levels are arranged by age incorporated with skill level. Head to our Contact page and send us a message requesting more info and forms for Beginner’s or Little Olympian classes.

Learn the Olympic sport of Epee fencing through a combination of games, drills, and exercises targeted to young children. Students build confidence, coordination, speed, good sportsmanship, and basic fencing tactics through this weekly fencing program. Students practice their skills in fencing matches initially with foam swords and then advance to full electric fencing gear.

  • Schedule: The class meets on Fridays from 5-6pm. Parents can drop off their kids or sit in the bleachers.
  • Class Fee: The class is $100/month. 30 days notice is required for class cancellations.
